If you have a web capable cell phone, you can get a web plan(for T-Mobile it’s only an extra $5.99/month). Then you can just go to wap.ebay.com. I go there all the time to check on my auctions. Most phones sold these days are web capable, so you should be set as far as that is concerned.

i have a samsung A920 cameraphone from sprint. the phone was actually free for me after rebates and smoothtalking the salesgirl at sprint. sprint has a really cool eBay subscrition service that is $3.99/mo. but you will have to pay for the phone line and a data package for the phone. altogether i pay like $70 a month for the phone. you can probably get cheaperpackage or something similar through another carrier. you do not need a blackberry or anything like that. you can get on ebay free off any internet enabled phone but its a pain and the subscription service is much easier to use.

with my phone i can look up current prices on items, and it also has a feature to show sale prices of items that were sold already and it shows average prices. i also keep track of items im watching, selling, and bidding on. the cell phone is really convenient when im out. especially since i can email and take pictures and all that fun stuff too.

its a little harder to use and you cant do as much as if you were toting around a laptop, which i do that too sometimes i have a $1200 laptop with a $300 modem that cost me $60 a month to use the internet. you really dont wanna have to set-up and boot up a laptop everytime you wanna look up a price.

so my vote would be that you should upgrade your cell phone.

If your phone lets applications access the internet, I’d reccomend downloading Opera Mini. It’s a free app., you can search for it on your pc or mobile browser. It lets you view the actual web pages instead of the WAP skeletal version.
